The Center for Jewish Nonviolence is cultivating a practice of Jewish Nonviolence in support of Palestinian and Israeli nonviolent resistance to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza.

We draw upon multiple forms of nonviolence, including direct action to confront the violence of the occupation as well as nonviolent solidarity activism to support Palestinians threatened with eviction from their homes and land with an understanding that existence is resistance.

We believe that all individuals are equal based on our shared humanity and therefore have the right to be treated equally under the law.  We respect the importance of different group identities, whether religious, ethnic, cultural or otherwise. We recognize and appreciate difference and diversity in custom and practice across group identities, so long as those customs and practices do not impinge upon other people’s self-determination.
